Vogler 293-312

Vogler, Christopher. The Writers Journey. 3rd edition. Studio City: Michael Wiese Productions, 2007
Summary: In this section of Vogler, he touches one how powerful words are. They can bring us happiness or sadness and change our lives forever. Also in this section he describes the story of Rumpelstiltskin and how the girl's tears acted as a wish that brought the little man to her. In this part of the book, Vogler also talks about the importance of wishing as with the girls tears and Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz wants to be someplace where she has not a care in the world.
Reflection: I agree that wishing can be very important to a story line and how emotions can even act as nonverbal wishes. I also relize the saying sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me is false. Words can hurt. and they can change your life in an instant.
